The marketing funnel is a concept in marketing that outlines the stages a customer goes through before making a purchase at your business. Here are the essential components to look at when diving into your marketing funnel.

You can look at the marketing funnel as a four step process.

  1. Awareness
  2. Consideration
  3. Conversion
  4. Loyalty

1 . Where awareness is the first step. Awareness, where a person knows that you exist and what you product or service is. This can a simple “Oh yeah, I drove by that business” or “I have seen that business on a billboard before” simple thoughts by the consumer.

2. Consideration where the customer has contacted you, went onto your website or even asked someone else about your business. Shows that they are looking for a product or service you offer. This is a common step where most business lose customers. If the custuomer can not simply find what they are looking for, but can find it somewhere else that shows what they are looking for. You can lose that customer.

3. Conversion. The customer has successful fulfilled a transaction either online or in person. This is great for your business and can lead to great things depending on the customer’s experience. That is where it is important to know your market and customers to make sure you are treating and meeting their needs.

4. The last step, Loyalty. Every business wishes they had more loyal customers but are not taking it to that step. This step can be described as a customer that comes to you first for any product or service you offer. The customers in this step are important as they are free advertising for you! They will make Facebook post or leave great reviews. Most importantly they will be a great word of mouth advocate for you. It is great to have those because
